Information about Phaeton # CT34452 This car was spotted on eBay in Sept, 2015. -- A question to the seller at that time got the reply that the above VIN was the original VIN as evidenced by a bill of lading that he had from when the car was new. The features of the car match 1980 except that the bumpers are 32 Ford style (which some people prefer, and change) and the VW lights are absent in the front, but not the back. Another owner has suggested that CT is a Connecticut-assigned number. . -- The placement of this car on owners list 3 is somewhat random, among the 1980 cars.
